Seattle Pride

I went to Seattle Pride this last weekend with Girlfriend. It was a lot of fun because A) Gay people! B) Lots of alcohol consumption! C) Girlfriend held my hand and kissed me in public!

Oh the magic!!

Despite the massive amounts of fun, there were still downfalls like 1) I was supposed to see my friend, but never did. It's been two years since I've seen him and oh my heart! I miss him a lot. 2) Saturday night was a shit show, people going to the clubs so I didn't get my drink on nearly enough! 3) Naked men.

Oh the horror!

I want to tell the story in PICTURES. This seems good. Kinda.

Day 1 -
I have no pictures of this day. Sorry. It was probably the most interesting! So, there goes my "tell the story in PICTURES" thing.

We were supposed to go up on Saturday, but Adam sent me a text saying we should come up ASAP on Friday. Dreams DO come true, Adam. We made your dream come true!

We drank A LOT. It was awesome. FYI young children reading this: Drinking is bad for you; but AWESOME. Do a lot of it sometimes when you are of the legal age.

First, we went to Lobby. I got two Whiskey Sours and a Lemon Drop shot (they are Girlfriends favorite!). I was pretty smashed after that because I rarely drink now-a-days. Lobby was a lot of fun because Adam's guy friend was there clinging unto him and saying how cute he was. It was pretty cute but poor Adam just wanted to be alone with his homies. Girlfriend and I talked a lot with this other guy, but honestly I can't remember most of what we talked about. He was super nice and we even ran into him at the Parade thingy.

Anyway. Adam took a cab back to his place with his boy, left him there, came back. Party continues! I am pretty sure we wandered over to R Place after that, though I could be wrong. I think I am wrong. Hold on let me call Girlfriend.

She didn't answer, so I am just going to say we wandered over to R Place.

I remember girlfriend saying I should get water, but I was convinced I needed one more shot. A Kamikaze, quick and harmless. Something like that.

That was the best drink I have ever had. Or so I thought at the time. It was extremely refreshing and got me all super charged to dance... until I actually started. Somebody came up to talk to Adam and I took that little break to jab my thumb nail in my eyelid. Thankfully I was drunk so I was invincible, but then again I was drunk so I didn't realize it. Sometimes it still hurts, so I'm pretty sure I damaged something. So be it!

After Adam was done with his conversation, I told him I had to find Girlfriend and let her know I was injured. We made our way over where we left her but she wasn't there.

SOMEONE TOOK GIRLFRIEND.

Or at least that is what my drunk self thought. I flew like a master ninja down the flights of stairs and there she was. Not taken, but alone and scared! Tears were in her eyes, so thankful was she that she embraced me and took me to her bed chamber right there! It was beautiful.

After she took me to her bed chamber/I blacked out for a while, we crossed the street to get her cigarettes. Girlfriend smokes when she drinks. It's sick, disgusting, and ugh! I smoked one or two, as well. I didn't want her to be sick and disgusting by herself. Some Asian dude came up and started telling us how is friend Roy (I only remember his name because he was Asian as well and I was thinking "HAHA ROY IS YOUR NAME" the whole time) was being mean and wouldn't let them stay or drive home. I'm not sure what it was.

I knew it was my time to shine. I took a cigarette, or I took my cigarette out of my mouth, and walked to Roy.

"I huuurd yur mad... take the cig n b HAAAPPPUYY lol!" is probably what I sounded like.

"Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!" is probably how he sounded. He slapped the cigarette from my hand and continued to yell at his friends.

That was okay, that was fine. I sauntered back to Asian dude and Girlfriend, thinking I was cool. I slipped and you know what? I was still cool. No one offered to help me off the ground, but whatever. I was cool. Apparently Girlfriend fell as well but her ankle is still gross, mine was just hurt. Roy came up and apologized, showing a burn from the cigarette on his pinky. It was pretty gross.

I don't know what happened to them. I don't really understand what happened next, to be honest. Either we went to eat or we went to pee. Let's say we ate first.

What I remember is seeing Adam sitting down and I thought I should too. I remember Adam suddenly having a hot dog in his hand and exclaiming there was cream cheese in it.

"No way is there cream cheese! That's weird!"

"*MUMBLEMUBMBLELBUMBLE*"

"Oh my gosh! There is cream cheese!" because suddenly there was a hot dog in my hand and I was devouring it.

Girlfriend and Adam later told me some homeless dude asked me if he could get a hot dog from us, in which case I said "No man, I can't help," while stuffing a hot dog in my face and enjoying every fucking second of it.

I don't remember finishing the dogs, but when we did we were on a quest to urinate. We stopped at Subway, but the guy was all "NO KEYS NO KEYS" and I was all, "Lol, dude, you are LYING". Later we would decide he thought we were too drunk to go into the bathroom, even though Adam was standing in line to pretend to get a sandwich! It seemed like such a good plan.

But shit, we had to pee bad. I said we should find an alley, but we never made it. Adam ran to a bush and let loose. Girlfriend ran into the bushes after he was done and peed. I was so happy! Finally, I can pee! I jumped in once Girlfriend was done and IT WAS AMAZING. Nothing has felt so good! It was interrupted by another homeless man, or the same one trying to sabotage the BEST PEE EVER. Fear won over and I had to force myself to stop. I pulled up my pants and that's the last thing I remember. Adam has some pictures of me being drunk and stupid back at his place, so I'll try and get those from him and post them for you.

Day 2 -

We probably went to bed around 4am. I woke up at 830am. I made Girlfriend wake up, then Adam woke up because I was being annoying. They hated me!

The scenic view from Adam's

After a couple hours of being miserable we made our way to Pho Than Bros on Broadway. Adam had to be at work at 12, it was 11:10a by the time we got our food so we ate all the noodles we could as fast as we could. It was an adventure that gives me a headache to remember.

Adam worked in Bellevue so it was sort of a drive, especially since we had to stop and get his work clothes near the U District. He was only a couple minutes late, so props to us man.

Girlfriend and I had the whole day to ourselves after that! And I really can't say it was that exciting. We bought Adam a pillow and towels because boy was lacking. We joked about making some reality show called "2 Lesbians and a Gay Guy" in which lesbians attempt to make peoples lives more practical with a budget of 20 dollars. We'll make it to the top mom, don't you worry!

I took this picture on the way to the mall. I thought my hair looked good, what the hell was I thinking? I obviously need to brush my hair.

I just realized I have hardly any pictures of Adam! What the hell. The ones I do are unflattering!

Cropped Girlfriend out since, you know. You can stare at the boobs in this one! Whatever.
That day was boring, I told you! Well, not boring to me, but boring to the world.

Day 3 - Parade!

We got together with my friend Brittany and her girlfriend. We got ice cream and she lost her phone, it was sad! But Girlfriend got to see the Pike's Place Market. That was kind of cool. Except it stinks.

I am going to try and hide faces of people not in the parade. I'm not very good at this though! I'll just post a few, maybe I'll post more when I don't have a homework assignment due in an hour! Oops!

Ro ma ro ma ma....

Execute Order 69. Yep, I just said that.

Nice shoes

:)

Love this!

Officer Friendly! And LOOK AT THOSE BREASTS IN THE BACK.

Brittany and her girlfriend looking far off, to happier times...

Okay, that's enough entries for one day! Had to make up for all that lost time, right?? Now I have to try and finish my homework!

Pictures

I feel this blog lacks pictures.

Here is a picture of my retainers! You know you wanted to see them.

Please take notice of the food particles. Mmmm.

Also, here is a picture of cookies I baked today:

Chunky looking ones from Naturally Skinny by Bethenny Frankel; not so chunky ones from the  package of some Oatmeal flour made my Bob's Red Mill.
Banana Oatmeal w/ Chocolate chips and Almond Cookies! They are both pretty not super bad for you (no eggs, only a Tbs oil in the banana ones) and they are pretty tasty! The almond cookies are too dry for my tastes, but other people seem to like them. I pushed in a dark chocolate chip for my nephew in some since he loves himself some chocolate.

These are cupcake I made. The banana ones are from  http://mingmakescupcakes.yolasite.com/

Chipping nail polish - don't be confused, I'm really an adult! An ill-kept one, but still an adult.
I am pretty proud of my eye make up in this one, so please focus on that and not my breasts. You know what? I will make a new blog post for this picture. Check it!

Rachael

It's been a while, so here's a trashy story

That's a pun! I'm really PUNNY.

Get it? Punny? Okay, whatever. Shut up.

Week's ago I lost my retainers. No, I misspoke. I didn't lose them. I put them on my "nightstand" (a Rubbermaid container) and they went missing. I knew I hadn't lost them, because I remembered clearly putting them there wrapped in a paper towel. (I use a paper towel to place my retainers on in the morning if I wear them to the kitchen. I take them out when I get water or eat something, and place them on a paper towel.) This particular time I wrapped them up and decided to just leave them in there because I'm lazy. I did bring them upstairs, to presumed safety. I am usually the only one who is in my room, so I wasn't worried about them disappearing or being thrown away.

A couple days later I have a headache equal to that of Zeus' when Athena was born. The only cure for this was an ax to the head/my retainers. I grind my teeth and have found that the retainers help an awful lot in relieving the pressure. They hug my teeth, showing them love and compassion! There has never been a better friendship than that of my teeth and my retainer.

I went to get my retainers on the makeshift nightstand. They weren't there.

Panic.

My school books were covering the nightstand! Hope! I took the books off.

Panic more! PANIC MORE!

They weren't there! Where are they?! I looked under the bed.

I looked on the bed.

I looked under the bed again.

I looked under the bin.

WHERE ARE THEY. OH THE PANIC.

I asked Girlfriend if she knew. No, she said. I was convinced she knew though. Who else goes in my room besides toe eating gnomes?** I described to her the situation again. Paper towel, wrapped up, pounding headache, retainers...

No, again. No no no.

I was beginning to consider becoming an alcoholic to dull the pain of this loss. My only friend would become a bottle of... uh... Apple schnapps? I don't know.

It may seem silly to be up in arms about something as silly as retainers (btw: they keep your teeth straight after wearing braces). Maybe to you, because maybe you have never had shitty teeth or braces... but to me they are my babies. I lost them years ago and finally paid for new ones. $750.00 for the both of them. They are worth it though, believe me. I have way less headaches and my bottom teeth are realigning. My teeth resembled that of a meth addicted shark before braces. They were overlapping, turned around, twisted, pointing in, pointing out... I was embarrassed of them and for a kid like me - one that loves to make jokes and be loud - it was hard. I couldn't keep my mouth closed, but if I didn't I was stared at and made fun of.

Sap story aside, these things are fucking important to me! So important that I would pay $750 to have another pair made. But my credit card can't handle that stress, so I would have to pain myself to search for them.

Three hours and a day later I still couldn't find them and Girlfriend finally was over to get some lovin' from me. But I had no love to give. I hadn't showered in a day and 3 hours now, I was wearing the same clothes I was 27 hours ago, and I had began to scratch tally's into my walls for every minute I couldn't find them (that's a lot! I think. I can't do math!) I wasted more time tallying than I had actually looking. For Christs sake, what took her so long to get here?!

"WHERE ARE THEY!" I growled, spitting on her on accident. "Sorry about that," I apologized. It is rude to spit.

"Where are what?" she was probably really just over to play Red Dead Redemption and I was in the way.

"My retainers!" had she somehow forgotten my 442 texts? (Yes, yes she had).

"Oh, what?"

I told her again. I pointed to where they were, and made hand gestures of how they were wrapped up.

"Uh... I think I threw them away," her face wasn't nearly concerned enough.

I knew it! I knew she did something with them!

She was sure it was hopeless, the trash had been taken out. They were gone! No, no. She was wrong. I knew the time frame, and we still had until Monday before the garbage disposal people came. She promised to help me find them, and so we went to the store and got yellow plastic gloves and those face masks painters wear. I wanted to buy a candle, too. They had those soy ones that are kinda spendy but they look cool! Girlfriend didn't look pleased with my sudden wantonness so we left with the goods.

When we got back to my place I said I thought we should start with the trash that was still in the house. It was half full and wouldn't take much time. "No," Girlfriend said. It had been too long, we should go through the trash that was outside.

I didn't want to, but whatever. Okay.

It was one of the hottest days yet. I believe it was almost, if not, 80 degrees. I live in Portland, OR so don't you dare scoff! The trash bag was stewing for hours now in the bin. You could smell it 10 feet away, if not 100! I remembered throwing away bad sausage in there and was dreading seeing that again. Girlfriend opened up the bag, brave and looking to redeem herself for the sin she committed. We laid out newspapers and got another bag to transfer trash into.

I found a plastic bottle. I threw it into the recycle. Angels praised me, "You're an environmental hero!" Bells rang, horns tooted, harps chimed.

I found the sausage. It was mushy and juices filled the Zip Lock bag I had put it in. I retched, and the angels cried.

15 minutes later, no dice. I felt sick and Girlfriend was determined. There were no other bags in the bin so I went to retrieve the one inside. I wanted to cry. If they weren't in this bag then hope was gone!

4 minutes into looking in this new bag - this bag that had barely anything in it and no stink at all - Girlfriend found them. She held them high like a prize and broke out in song. I told her it was in this bag! I should be the hero, not her! Why doesn't she ever listen to me?!

But I got over it pretty fast. I grabbed my retainers and ran inside with them. I stripped the gloves and mask off and threw them outside at Girlfriend. "YOU TRIED TO KILL MY BABIES! You threw my babies away!! You're a monster!" She WILL go on trial for this one day, make no mistake.

I scrubbed them with soap, then again. I soaked them in bleach and water. I scrubbed them again. Finally, they were bathed in vinegar for a few hours. After all the mayhem, they found their home again in my mouth.

And, this, is why I will remember to put my retainers in the designated container.

Coffee

Nothing makes me more feel grown up then ordering my complete coffee order without saying "Uhh...and...".

Of course, it would help if I stuck to one drink and one drink only. Oh, the confusion!

Horoscopes

Julia sent me her horoscope that read this was a good month to start a blog - as long as she posted by the 11th. I'm expecting her to make a post any day now...

I was curious as to what mine read, so she sent me a picture.

The picture! The magic!

My zodiac is a piecese. Pices. Piesees. PISCES. 22 years and I still can't spell it. Fuck, why couldn't I be a Cancer? Or Leo? Scorpio? Those are easy to spell. (My birthday is February 20th, by the by. So send me some awesome shit).

Anyway, ever since she had sent this to me I felt that maybe astrology was really awesome and I should be some new age hippie pagan with flowers in my vag. The only thing is I think you have to believe in something first, but I can pretend.

So, let's start from the beginning (using the above picture as a reference):

Mars is being generous this month! Usually Mars is a total asshole because he/she knows that Sailor Jupiter was my crush as a kid, though Mars was a definite hottie! Jupiter had that pony tail though, man... and she was kind of a tom boy.

Sailor Jupiter!

Sailor Mars!

The only Sailor I didn't care for was probably Sailor Venus. She was ripping off Sailor Moon! What the heck. Why do you need two blonde Sailors? Come on Venus, be original.

Alright, back to where I was... On the 13th I will get whatever the hell I ask for. ANYTHING. Or pretty much anything, whatever. I'll let you know how that goes because I haven't decided on what to ask for yet.

Vain Venus (I told you! What a dick) is going to set me up with a D-bag! A D-BAG. What the hell is that? A Doggy bag? A Diabolical bag? A Dessert bag? A Dandy bag? Hell, I don't know. I am kind of looking forward to it now, especially if it is a bag of desserts! Maybe Venus isn't so bad. Oh, that's a dating tip. HOLD UP. If I want this dessert bag I need to break up with Girlfriend to get it? Okay. I'll think about this... depending on if Girlfriend is willing to up the ante and throw in TWO dessert bags, otherwise she is to the curb!

Near the 21st I can take charge in bed, and can tie him up! Let's change him to her, because Girlfriend doesn't have a penis. I think. I have to show her how good my oral skills are after I tie her up. That makes sense. My best oral skill is giving a full script reading of Mulholland Drive, and it's pretty bad...  (not that the movie is, I just can't seem to get it right). Tying her up will keep her from covering her ears and running in terror. I am such a good girlfriend!

What a good girlfriend looks like!
the original is here
So, in lieu of this post I wanted to see what the stars have for me tomorrow. According to this site I have this to look forward to:
Romance is front and center today, Pisces, as you're probably feeling especially passionate. This is a great day to plan an intimate evening with a lover. Make use of candles, muted lights, and soft music. You're apt to be feeling especially passionate about your other interests, whether they're intellectual, creative, or business oriented. You can expect to spend a lot of time pursuing your passions, no matter what they are.
Why am I feeling especially passionate, you may ask? Because my monthly menstrual cycle is coming towards the end and I get all frisky! Woo! Too much? Fuck that noise, you can handle it. I can handle it! Together, we can handle it!

I have planned an evening with my lover, and it's only intimate if you count getting trashed off margarita's with my sisters as "intimate". It is certainly family bonding! I'll light some candles and turn off some lights, we'll watch a movie with soft music. It'll be quite the night!

I don't understand what the rest of it is saying.

So, there you have it! I am now a hippie pagan dolphin lover.

Heroic Tale

This may or may not be true, depending on what your perception of reality is.

I was leaving home for school, doing my usual humdrum routine. I had my backpack, had my homework, and had my shrunken head in a zip lock bag. Now all I needed was a touch of cool. Girlfriend's sunglasses stood there on the table, their black gleaming back at me... Take me they said. They taunted me. Their Oakley label lookin mighty fine on the side. I grabbed them, ready to go. Girlfriend showed up to "give me a kiss goodbye" (I knew she was really just going to try and beat me up and take the glasses back!) Before she could say anything I asked, "Hey gurl, can I wear these?" I was already wearing them, but whatever.

"Sure, but only if you give me a kiss," she thinks she is soooo cute.

"I'll punch you if you don't!"

"Okay, okay, just take them."

And I did! I didn't need her permission. I punched her anyway, just for good measure. Showed her what I'm made of. These glasses made me a BEAST.

Driving with these things was a trip. Everything looked more enhanced, hyper-real. I looked in the rear view mirror once and saw the car behind me (it was an accident, I was trying to gaze at my beauty but caught a glimpse of them). I saw checkers on the back window. Did the other car see them too? I bet he did! I have been living a sham all these years. My 12 dollar Target sunglasses never unlocked the secret of the checkerboard windows! On my way to the coffee shop I played a game with the car behind me.

He won, that bastard.

I had to get a soy chai tea latte before I went to school, to unleash my full power. That went easy enough.... but while I drove my car away I happened to run over something. It made a thump, then a crunch, another thump, one last crunch, and finally a thumpy spppllluuuuush.

And that is the story of how I got 10 years for hitting an elderly couple.

How to Do This Shit

Right now my nephew is doing a craft I set up (cutting out shapes from paper and gluing it onto a different piece of paper), so what a better time to BLOG? Blog stands for "Better let others go", meaning... ignore everyone else and do your own thing. Right? I don't know...  but you don't need to fact check it. That would be rude.

Julia recently sent me a link through Facebook*. It is to help us "do a blog". Apparently Julia doesn't think my quick wit is enough. Here is the link. I think this is a good place to start, right? I am going to go through the list and see what is realistic for this blog.

5. Writing Style
Okay, I can see this working for me. It could be somewhat of a "What not to do" in terms of the English language. I could make up games where people rip apart everything I say and make fun of it. Or be constructive. Or insightful. Rachael this piece here on public masturbation is fascinating, really - but why did you add in this bit about childhood trauma? Is that really necessary?
This is a bad idea. Why would Julia partake in this.

16. Body-weight training
Haha, jk. Me, training? FOR ANYTHING? Maybe Julia. I'll update you guys on if I ever make it to the gym.**

21. How to be a real and true friend.
That's so sweet! And really, read this blog and you'll find out all the secrets! Julia and I are still friend despite that I tried selling her to a slave trader. ~*~TrUe FrIeNdS~*~

32. Home brewing beer
Why would my home ever be brewing beer? Haha Haha HAHA. It's a joke. I wouldn't be against this one! Girlfriend likes beer a whoooole bunch. Maybe we can create some amazing beer! FREE SAMPLES TO YOU ALL.

51. Eating organic on a budget.
OR - How to grow a garden.

62. How to Get What You Want Without Breaking the Law or Burning Bridges
Not possible in my line of work... which is robbing banks and burning bridges.

74. The end of the world and the Maya prophecies for December 21st, 2012.
Why ruin the surprise?

Rachael

*I wrote facebook but Google Chrome used the red squiggly worm to tell me it was incorrect. Of course it is!
"Facebook" isn't in the dictionary after all! (Is it?) I fixed it to the plural because, well... I wanna at least TRY to use proper grammar. Turns out Facebook is recognized as a word. Same with Google vs google. I never realized!!

**I am in a Swim Conditioning class right now. It is online. I'll try and make a post about that soon! Good shit.

Lost at Sea...

I decided a couple years ago I was going to make comics, then a week later changed my mind. I was set entirely on web comics but I don't know if I could ever be funny/smart/creative enough to make it. I did however make one comic, and I am going to share it with you now.

My friend, at the time, was obsessed with whole wheat Ritz. I made this for him. We got a good chuckle out of it.

I haven't completely given up on comics, I still really want to make them... but full book ones. I have been writing one that maybe I can find a way to share on here.

Moldy Tampons

This is absolutely disgusting.

I just found a MOLDY TAMPON in a brand new box of Kotex Tampons. Yeah, you read that right - moldy. Straight out of the box, in it's sealed little packaging ... moldy. Bad moldy.

Finals

School is over in two weeks, which means I'm as stressed as a screaming banshee. Don't be misled: I'm not stressed because I think I'm doing badly in school, I'm stressed because I have to actually do the work. I have never felt this nonchalant and unharried about school. It was always "Do the work or fail, and failing means your life is OVER."

I can trace back to grade school having this mad obsession with good grades, which are A's and B's to me. I like B's, they are comfortable. It means I did a lot of work but not the stuff I didn't think was worthy of me... or that I didn't do the work that hard and got a couple shitty grades on assignments.

High school wasn't that great, a C+ and a D- in my Mathematics' classes. It was a hard time for me, and has no relevance right now.

So be it.

Last term I was worrying about getting a C in my Philosophy of Religion class (a class I hated horribly). I ended up with a B in the class, but would have been given a guaranteed C if I hadn't done the final optional essay. I don't worry about my life ending, instead I think, "I could do the work, learn it really well, and get an A in the class. But what's wrong with a C?"

I think being this laid back about it is generally healthier for me, but the long term effects could be disastrous. What happens when I don't get accepted into a University because of my lack of drive this term? "Rachael, you did phenomenally well the first two years, but what the fuck happened? Sorry, but you won't be going to Harvard... ever." What a bunch of dick licks.

At the rate I am going there isn't a doubt I'll end up pan handling for butterscotch candies on Burnside. Sweet, sweet, butterscotch candies. Spare me a nickle, and I'll buy mine own... My hair gray and in disarray, clothes in tatters, a stuffed cat on my shoulder.

(No, I don't really want to go to Harvard; I'm too good for them).

It isn't really hard to grasp why I am doing so badly. It's my girlfriend. Really. It is all her fault. Okay fine, no it isn't. I should be responsible enough to take charge of my own downfall... but whenever I try to do anything I just get lazy and think of the next two years... our life together... a small house with too many dogs...

It is embarrassing. I never thought I'd be this obsessed with love. I was perfectly happy until she came along (maybe that's a lie, I was soul crushingly lonely a lot of the time). It has been four months now since we started dating, and all I can think of is "What will tomorrow be like for us?" not,  "My teacher is going to be so disappointed in me if I don't get this project done."

The time I used to dedicate to school work I now dedicate to her. She is doing well in school since she can spend some real time away from me, but I am with my niece and nephew all day. That is obviously no excuse since I got real work done before the girlfriend. Something just makes me too tired to really do work. I want to just hang out with my niece and talk, or play video games with my nephew. School work is senseless now.

I know I should find the strength to just FOCUS, but shit I'm weak. I won't be happy in the long run with school anyway.

But what a lie! What happens if we break up and I have no good job? I can't rely on her anyway, that is unfair. I love her too much to make her do all the work. I have to do better, I have to get that English Major.

Because I'll go real far with that.
